Target Number (TN) to be Hit:

  • (Reflexes x5) + Armor + (Defense x2) + Misc. Mods.
  • Misc. Mods. can come from School Techniques, Spells, etc.

Wound Levels:

  • Healthy: Earth Ring x2.
  • Nicked: Earth Ring x2. -3 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Grazed: Earth Ring x2. -5 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Hurt: Earth Ring x2. -10 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Injured: Earth Ring x2. -15 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Crippled: Earth Ring x2. -20 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Down: Earth Ring x2. -40 to all Action & Skill rolls.
  • Out: Earth Ring x5. Cannot act.
    Example: A Crab bushi has an Earth Ring of 3. Each Wound Level has 6 wounds in it. If the Crab took 18 points of Damage, the damage would completely fill the Healthy, Nicked and Grazed levels. At this point, the Crab is at a -5 to all his rolls in combat. If he later took more damage, he would continue filling Wound Levels suffering the penalties associated with being so injured.

Movement Speed:

  • Water Ring x10 in feet per round.
